Q: Grant Scottish Travel & What We Do?

Grant Scottish Travel are a small family run business with 20 years experience. We specialise in airport and city to city taxi transfers from the central belt of Scotland to/from anywhere throughout the UK. We keep our business small with a limited number of vehicles so we can offer a reliable second to non service. Q: How Early Should I Book My Transfer?

We have a limited number of vehicles so its never to early to book and avoid the disappointment of us already being fully booked. If booking well in advance you have the option of paying a 20% deposit with the balance payble in cash to your driver at the dropoff point.

Q: Are The Company, Vehicles and Drivers Fully Licensed And Insured?

Grant Scottish Travel hold a Private Hire Taxi Operators License issued under UK law by the local council. All drivers hold a Private Hire Drivers License also issued by the local council. These licenses are issued only after a full police check. The vehicles all have a UK Private Hire Comprehensive Insurance policy that covers both driver and passengers in the event of an accident for medical and personal injury claims. The vehicles are also tested to a strict level on a regular basis by the Private Hire Licensing Authority.

Q: Is The Service 24/7?

Our service is 24/7 however pickups between the hours of 00.00 (Midnight) and 06.00am are subject to an additional 10% out of hours charge that we pass to our drivers for working unsociable hours.

Q: How Do I Know My Booking Has Been Received & Accepted?

After ordering your taxi transfer you will receive a booking receipt to your email. Please check all the details are correct and let us know if anything requires changing. You will then receive a further booking confirmation within the next 24 hours. Your driver and vehicle details will follow 48 hours prior to your transfer pickup.

Q: Can I Smoke Within The Vehicle?

In compliance with UK law Grant Scottish Travel operate a strict no smoking policy within any taxi transfer vehicle. It is at your drivers discretion if they can stop for a few minutes to allow you to smoke when on a long journey.

Q: What Airports, Cities & Areas Do We Cover?

Glasgow and Prestwick are our main airports. We pickup and drop from both to ALL areas within the UK. We also cover Edinburgh airport or any other UK airport or city if your journey STARTS or FINISHES in the Glasgow, Lanarkshire, Renfrewshire, Ayrshire or Inverclyde.

Q: What Should I Do If I Cannot Locate My Driver?

You will find your drivers name and contact details on the pickup instructions that we email/text you 48 hours prior to pickup. In the unlikely event that you cannot locate your driver please send them a text or give them a call. If you are still having problems locating them call our office hotline on +44 7517 092 331

Q: Are Prices Per Car Or Per Person?

Our prices are per vehicle. Please refer to our vehicle range where you will find there maximum carrying capabilities for both passengers and luggage. If you are unsure please give us a call and we can discuss your requirements before booking.

Q: How Much Luggage Can I Take?

Refer to our vehicle range where you will find how much luggage each vehicle class can accommodate. If unsure give us a call and we can discuss your requirements further.

Q: Will I Get A Refund If I Cancel My Booking?

We DO NOT under ANY circumstances refund where a cancellation is made within 48 hours prior to pickup. Cancellations made prior to the 48 hour rule will be accepted and a refund paid less £20.00 or 10% (whichever is Greater) which will cover our administration and credit/debit card fee’s. Refund payments can only be paid in reverse to the card that was used for the original payment. ALL cancellations MUST be made in writing and emailed to grantscottishtravel@yahoo.com and marked “Booking Cancellation”. The time and date on your email will be used to determine if a refund is paid.

Q: Will I Be Charged Extra If My Flight Is Delayed?

If a correct flight number is supplied while booking we will track your progress on live radar. Your driver will wait for a maximum of 60 minutes after your scheduled pickup time for you to make contact. If your flight is going to be delayed by more than 60 minutes please make contact with your driver who will try and accomodate where possible your new landing time. We will not charge extra unless your driver has incurred any extra fuel costs when returning to collect you.

Q: What If I Miss My Flight?

If your flight is cancelled by the operator and you contact your driver prior to them leaving for your pickup a refund will be made less £10.50 to cover our administration and card fee’s. If your flight flies and you miss the flight NO refund will be made under any circumstances.

Q: What Does The Transfer Price Include?

The price you see is the price you pay. All charges are included for card payments or airport pickup and drop of fee’s.

Q: Can I Tip My Driver For Good Service And Time Keeping?

Gratuities to your driver are at your discretion and can be paid at the end of your transfer in reward for good service, time keeping etc.
